Allen D. Morton

Allen D. Morton, 78, of Greensboro died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Golden Living Center.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Allen was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was employed with Ray Harris Towing and later with Georgia Pacific where he retired. Allen was a member of the River of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. He spent his retirement years bowling, fishing and traveling. Allen was a friendly outgoing person that never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Wilson and brothers, William and Paul Morton.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Fields Morton; son, Chuck Morton; step-sons, Stephen Willard and Wayne Willard; grandson, Christopher Morton; granddaughters, Kylie and Kate Morton; step-grandson, Patrick Willard; and great grandson, Christopher Morton, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
