Mr. Billy “Chief” Douglas Ransom, 77, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home in Lumberton.
A memorial gathering will take place from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at George Brothers Funeral Service in Greensboro.
Chief was a “happy go lucky” man who lived life to the fullest. He was a heavy equipment operator, loved NASCAR and motorcycles, and was a former member of the Original 12 Motorcycle Club and the Project Runners Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his daughters, Doris Lang (Scott), Felicia Maynard (George), Carmen Maynard (Lynell), and Katina Maynard (Louis); ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members whom he loved.
