Charles "Chuck" Grayson Chilton

Mr. Charles “Chuck” Grayson Chilton, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Concord Friends with Pastor Greg Creed officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 Saturday, prior to the service at the church.

Charles was born March 12, 1929 in Guilford County to the late Arthur Ernest and Nora Butler Chilton. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1951-1954. He retired from Amp Inc. in 1991 and was an active member of Concord Friends where he served in many leadership roles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Nancy Chilton.

Survivors include his children, Artie Chilton (Valli), Vicky Chilton East (Johnny) and Rick Chilton (Leigh); a brother, Reid Chilton (Billie); grandchildren, Jesse East (Ashley), Daniel East (Brittiany), Benjamin East (Jayme) and Whitney Chilton; great grandchildren, Madison East, Mason East, Natalie East, Charlotte East and JD King.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord Friends Meeting, Building Fund, 5000 Old Randleman Rd., Greensboro, NC 27406.
