Charlie "Jack" Carson, Sr.

Mr. Charlie “Jack” Carson, Sr., 82, of Greensboro, passed away October 7, 2017, at Wesley long Hospital.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Jack was born January 17, 1935, in Clemmons, to the late Robert Lee Carson, Sr. and Chattie Gilreath Carson. He was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Senior Choir and a Sunday School teacher with the Whittemore Class. He was retired from Discca Environmental and honorably served his country in the United States National Guard. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and grandson, Ben Pulliam.

Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Friesland Carson; children, Lisa Fleming (Chris) of Pleasant Garden, Charlie “Chuck” Jack Carson, Jr. of Greensboro, Rebecca Fields (Mike) and Carla Parker: his grandchildren, Kelly Fleming, Leigh Ann Fleming, Stephanie McIntire and Erika Sloan; great grandchildren, Britnee Chasten, Jordan Sloan and Grace Sloan and Great Great Grandchildren, Harbour Chasten and Hudson Chasten.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.
