For forty years she and her beloved husband were active members of McConnell Road Baptist Church.  She served as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, a member of the choir, and often decorated the church with her beautiful home-grown flowers. She worked for several years in customer service with several companies, and with the Guilford County Elections Board.  She was a volunteer community 4-H Leader in Guilford County. She was active with the PTA and athletics, including Little League Baseball.  She and Bob were masterful in raising livestock, gardening, food preservation, and entertaining the community with backyard fish fries and barbecues.

She was preceded in death by her beloved and devoted husband of 61 years, Robert Arnold “Bob” Davis. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Edwin Lee Clark; son, Joseph Gary Setzer; and grandson Perry Wright.
