Claude Alfred Brightwell, Sr.

Mr. Claude Alfred Brightwell, Sr., 96, of Greensboro, went home to be with his Savior on February 23, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00pm at New Testament Baptist Church with Pastor Brett Seawell officiating. The burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Brightwell was born January 12, 1921, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Walter and Rosabelle Brightwell. He was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church for 40 years where he was Chairman of the Board of Deacons and a Sunday School Teacher. He was currently a faithful member of New Testament Baptist Church. Mr. Brightwell was a veteran of the United Sates Army having served in Northern France.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois T. Brightwell; great grandchild, Cameron Wayne Allen and his nine siblings.

Mr. Brightwell is survived by his children, Linda Sandridge, Rosalie Talton and Claude A. Brightwell, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends 7-9:00pm Sunday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
