Darrell Wayne Thompson

Mr. Darrell Wayne Thompson, 53, passed away Friday September 22, 2017 in South Carolina.

A funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Burnett Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Armfield officiating the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and other times at the home of his parents.

A native of Greensboro, NC, he was born to Ralph Eugene and Juanita Thompson on February 29, 1964. He was proud to be a leap year baby, and was a member of Burnetts Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Ralph Eugene Thompson, Jr. and wife Pam; nephew Taylor and wife Lindsay; great-nephew Hunter Levi Thompson.  Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, and friends all of which he loved and treasured.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the General Fund of Burnetts Chapel UMC, 1201 Burnetts Chapel Rd., Greensboro, NC 27406.
