Evelyn Livengood Harward

Mrs. Evelyn L. Harward, 87, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Clapps Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. John Allred officiating. A private burial will be at a later date.

Mrs. Harward was born January 25, 1928 in Davidson County, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse for 53 years and in her honor would like any nurses attending the service to wear their nursing caps.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clyde S. Harward, Sr.

Survivors include her children, Debi Atkins (Donald) of Greensboro and Sam Harward, Jr. (Beverly) of Julian; a sister, Nona Clodfelter of Thomasville; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
