Gordon Francis Poole, Sr.

Mr. Gordon Poole, Sr., 81, of Greensboro died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Golden Living Center on Carolina Street.

Funeral will be 11:00 am Friday, May 22, 2015 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Gordon was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he served in the choir and played his autoharp often. He also retired from Lorillard Tobacco Co.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Laura Poole Lee; one daughter, Judith Poole Anderson; and sons, Howard Scott Poole and Andrew Reid Poole.

Mr. Poole is survived by his son, Gordon Poole, Jr. and daughter, Martha Christine O’Dell both of Reidsville, and son, James Wesley Poole of Nabarre, FL; along with the Estes family.

The family will receive friends for thirty minutes prior to the service.
