She was a passionate member of the Triad Adoption Support Group and volunteered as a North Carolina Search Angel, helping adult adoptees locate their biological family. Hazel retired after 20 years of service with Proctor and Gamble.
She was a faithful servant to her church and to her Lord and welcomed the day she would be called away to meet Him. She was a friend and mentor to many people during her lifetime. The wisdom, advice and whit that she freely shared with people has helped encourage and inspire many. Hazel loved story writing and was known for writing true, and sometimes humorous stories pertaining to her life. Her family rejoices in knowing that Hazel is in the presence of the Lord…..and perhaps writing her best story yet!
