Henry Lee Gray

Mr. Henry Lee Gray, 76, of Liberty, passed away August 17, 2017, at Moses Cone hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Sunday at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Reverend John Woods officiating. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. Gray was born, February 9, 1941, in Person County, to the late Alphonsus and Julia Inez Gray. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, and a member of the Masons. He was retired from Yellow Trucking and from Pallet Express but his real love was for farming. He was preceded in death by sister, Julia Hall and brother, Tilley Gray.

Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Gray; his children, Randy Gray (Donna), Anita Layton (Howard), Kenny Gray (Annette), Donna McDaniel (Jody), Brent Gray (Megan) and Trent Gray (Erika); his eight grandchildren, Jadon, Jessica, Keegan, Hanna, Brock, Addison, Lucy, Valerie and Mr. Gray’s siblings, Geraldine McKee, C.W. Gray, Al M. Gray, and Reade Gray.

Mr. Gray will lie in state at the church from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Memorials may be made to the Southeast Guilford High School FFA.
