Mrs. Jean Campbell Gilbreath, 77, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Rehobeth United Methodist Church in the sanctuary, with Reverend Paul McClure officiating where the family will receive friends following the service. 

Jean was born October 23, 1937, in Welch, West Virginia to the late Howard Crittenton and June Marsh Campbell.

She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Greer Gilbreath; two infant daughters; sister, Linda Gayle Campbell; and brothers, Howard Edward Campbell and Joseph Crittenton Campbell.

Mrs. Gilbreath was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church.  She graduated from Beaver High School in Bluefield, West Virginia and from St. Luke’s School of Radiological Technique.  She was employed with the Guilford County Department of Public Health for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Greer Gilbreath; son, David Chirstopher Gilbreth, of Alaska; daughter, Amy Marie Riddle, of Pleasant Garden; and sister, Carolyn Boyd (Glenn), of Fort Mill, SC; her most beloved grandchildren, Johnathon David Gilbreath, Rebecca Marie Beach, Megan Renee Simmons, Owen Joseph Riddle, Seth Robert Riddle, Brittany Daniele Salers, Mitchell Brody Salers, and Amber Lynn Gilbreath; and great granddaughter, McKenzie Marie Beach.

Jean was the best wife, mother, sister, and memaw that any family could ask for.  She will be missed beyond what words can express!  Our love for her will never die.  May she rest in peace forever.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
