Jimmie Robert Burchette

Mr. Jimmie Robert Burchette, 82, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at his home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Barrett officiating.  Burial will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park.

Jimmie was born in Wilkes County on March 3, 1933. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother; and was loved by many friends. He enjoyed hunting and playing cards (although he could be occasionally caught cheating).

He is preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Granville Burchette.

Mr. Burchette is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Hill Burchette; three sons, Robert (Annette), Bruce (Tammy) and Jonathan (Wendy); 8 grandchildren, Sarah Sams (Gabriel), Bradley, Kelly, Blake, Emily, Ava, Chloe and Jaron; siblings, Hugh (Lib), Edith Dameron (Bobby) and Glenda Carter (Jimmy).

 The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church prior to the service.
