Joan G. Gallagher, 79, of Greensboro passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Hospice of Greensboro’s Beacon Place.
Memorial service will be 7:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2017 at George Brothers Funeral Service.
Joan was born in Scranton, PA on August 13, 1937. She married Robert L. Gallagher, Sr. on August 15, 1963. Joan was an avid Bingo player and loved her Bingo family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, George and Dorothy Greaves; brothers, William and George Greaves; sister, Ruth Burris, and two great grandchildren, Cody and Grayson.
Joan is survived by three sons, Robert L. Gallagher, Jr. of the home, George B. Gallagher (Kay) of Greensboro, and John T. Gallagher (Charlotte) of Binghamton, NY; daughter, Margaret A. Gallagher (Michael) of Greensboro; three sisters, Jane Wolframe (Bob) of Binghamton, NY, Claire Greaves (Tommy) of Reading, PA, and Shirley Topa (Bob) of Port Crane, NY; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
