August 4, 1949 ~ June 15, 2015 (age 65) 65 Years OldMr. Kenneth Ray McGee, 65, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, June 15, 2015 at Beacon Place.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Sharpe Road Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
Ken was born August 4, 1949 in Cumberland County to the late Herbert Wesley and Marion Averitt McGee. He served his country in the US Navy and was a member of Sharpe Road Baptist Church where he served as an usher and on various committees. Ken was a mechanic and retired from General Fertilizer Equipment.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth McGee; daughter, Marcy Davis (Scott); sons, Shane McGee (Ashley), Brian McGee, Eric Garcia (Mary); grandchildren, Mason Davis, Alexander McGee, Gavin Garcia, Mia Garcia and Garrett Garcia; and a brother, Bobby McGee (Jill).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sharpe Road Baptist Church, 1908 Sharpe Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
