Lexie Jane (Hendren) Shaw

Ms. Lexie Hendren Shaw, 72, passed away Wednesday, April 08, 2015 at Clapps Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Thomas Hussey officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Ms. Shaw retired from Guilford Mills Market St. after 34 years of service, attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pleasant Garden, and loved her pets.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roderick Shaw.

Lexie is survived by her companion, David “D.C.” Saunders, of the home; son, Tony Eagle (Pam), of Stokesdale; daughter, Sherri Welker (Richard), of Fayetteville; daughter, Darla Shaw (J.R.), of the home; daughter, Judy Huffstickler (Bill), of Lincolnton; granddaughters, Stephanie Coakley (Scott) and Kelly Ross (James); great-granddaughters, Sydney, Savannah, and Ashtyn; brother, Walter Hendren; special friends, Selina and Heather MacGowan, and Morgan Tyner; and her furbabies.

Lexie’s family would like to extend a special heart-felt “Thank You” to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, as well as Clapp’s Nursing Center staff, and her special aids Jamar, Tiffany, and Kaitlyn.
