Mabel Elizabeth (Richardson) Braswell

Mrs. Mabel Richardson Braswell, 76, of Greensboro passed peacefully, Sunday, August 23, 2015 surrounded by loved ones in her home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Barrett officiating.  A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Peachland, NC.
Mabel was born November 2, 1938 in Union County to the late Frank and Ida Richardson.  She was a devoted member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church where she diligently served the Lord with her family.   Mabel had a special interest in gardening, visiting the mountains, and flowers of any type.   She enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music and fellowship with family and friends. Mabel’s friendly disposition enabled her to be a successful saleswoman for Electrolux for several years.
Mabel will be remembered as a true Godly woman, always in prayer for her family, reading scriptures and serving others.   
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dee Roy Braswell, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Michael Braswell and wife Rita of Goodlettsville, TN, Cynthia B. Triplett and husband Tim of Greensboro, Kenneth Darrell Braswell and wife Carolyn of Odenton, MD and Barry Braswell and wife Brenda of N. Wilkesboro; 2 special nieces, Joyce Broome and Judy Whitley; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at George Brothers Funeral Service.
