Margaret Yoder Stine

Margaret Yoder Stine, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11th, 2017. She was born on September 5th, 1931 in Hickory, NC. She graduated from high school in 1952 and moved to Greensboro, NC in 1955. Margaret is survived by her sister, Betty Coffey, her nephew, Rick Coffey and her sister-in-law, Rosie Yoder, all of Hickory, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Blanch Yoder, brothers, Joe and Ray Yoder, husband, Carol Stine and daughter, Debbie Stine.

Margaret was a dedicated wife and mother, who cared for her husband for many years after his stroke. Margaret then suffered the loss of her daughter, Debbie, after she lost her battle with leukemia and died tragically at the age of 24.

A simple person, Margaret was very witty and had a dry sense of humor that made people enjoy her company. An avid ACC basketball fan, she enjoyed time with her friends during her daily visit to McDonald's and thought of this time as the highlight of her day.

We pray today that God would be glorified and that Margaret would be honored in her service today. Margaret passed away just the way she wanted. God answered her prayer with Louise by her side. She is healed. She is complete and in the presence of Jesus Christ. Praise His holy name. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday at Shining Light Baptist Church. The burial will follow at 2:00pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hickory.
