Mr. Marshall ”Honey” Ray Presnell, age 83, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015, at his residence.
A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday at Gospel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mr. Presnell was born in Rowan County, to the late Oscar and Sallie Belle Presnell. He was a member of Gospel Baptist Church, and served his country honorably in the United States Army, while serving in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death, in 2007, by his wife Edna Presnell.
He is survived by his children Sherry Gant (Mike) of Greensboro and Cindy Blake (Phil) of Greensboro; sisters Kathleen Roberts of Greensboro and Betty Jarvis of Asheville; brothers Bill Presnell of Brown Summit and Oddis Presnell of Greensboro; grandchildren Sam Gant (Mindy) and Susan Blake.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm Monday at Gospel Baptist Church, prior to the service.
