Mary Emily (Lovelace) Burchett

Mary Emily Lovelace Burchett, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2016, after several years of declining health.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Ridge-View Cemetery, 1658 NC Highway 135, Eden, NC.

Mrs. Burchett was born in Pelham, NC on July 18, 1932.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Lovelace and the late Ossie Loftis Lovelace.

After her marriage to Jerome M. Burchett, she moved to Danville, VA and later to Eden, NC.  She retired from Fieldcrest Mills in 1994. Her husband preceded her in death in 2003.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a member of the Gate City Church of God in Greensboro.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marian Lovelace Thomas. 

Mrs. Burchett is survived by her daughter, Lois Burchett Stroud and husband Douglas W. Stroud of Whitsett, NC; sisters, Margaret Lovelace Wallace of Danville, VA, and Audrey Lovelace Davis of Bradenboro, NC; grandson, Darren W. Stroud and wife, Donna; and two great- granddaughters, Emily and Kara Stroud, of McLeansville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point NC 27262.
