February 4, 1955 ~ July 20, 2016 (age 61) 61 Years OldMary Ellen Pollard Johnson, 61. Of Pleasant Garden died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 24, 2016 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Mary Ellen was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. And with her giving spirit, she volunteered with local nursing homes including Clapps Nursing and Rehab.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne Johnson; her parents, Ocie and Virginia Pollard; brothers, Ocie Pollard, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Frankie Pollard.
Mary is survived by her brothers, Cecil Pollard (Estelle), Marvin Pollard (Mary), and Robert Pollard along with a host of nieces and nephews including her caregiver, Leigh Ann Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service and other times at the residence of Leigh Ann Johnson, 6436 Walter-Wright Road, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
Because of Mary’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), or to the Guilford County Animal Shelter, 4525 W. Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27409
