Monnie Joyce (Thompson) Murphy

Ms. Monnie J. Thompson Murphy, 85, of Greensboro, passed away March 17, 2018, at Heartland Living and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday at Aycock Fellowship Ministries in Greensboro. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Friday at St. Anna Free Will Baptist Church in Pembroke.

Ms. Murphy was born December 4, 1932, in Robeson County to William and Neavie Maynor Thompson. She was a member of Aycock Fellowship Ministries and was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Murphy, Sr.

Ms. Murphy is survived by her step children, Robert Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Albert W. Murphy, Jr., and Timothy J. Murphy and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
