Mr. J.D. Kirkman

Mr. J. D. Kirkman, born March 7, 1926, passed away while in Florida on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

A funeral service will be held 2:00p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Alamance Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 in the Gathering Room.

Mr. Kirkman was a lifetime member of Alamance Presbyterian Church, where he served as Deacon and Elder.

He was preceded in death by Cathleen, his loving wife of 72 years. He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Barbour( Dennis), Sharon McCollum(Keith) and June Koklys( Al-Deceased). He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

J.D. was a Navy Veteran, farmer and retired firefighter. Some of his greatest pleasures were fishing and gardening. He will be missed by all who knew him.
