Mr. Jack Oliver Jones, Jr.

Mr. Jack Oliver Jones, Jr., age 65, passed away Tuesday December 1, 2015 at his residence.

A funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Lakeview Memorial Park.

Jay retired from Varco Pruden Buildings after 35 years of service.  He was an avid stock car racing fan, and enjoyed speed boat drag racing.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Anita Jones of Greensboro; children Jack Alan Jones and wife Lisa of Lexington, Barbee Shea Brown and husband Steve of Greensboro, and Kevin Deric Jones and wife Taylor of Graham; mother Maudie Leigh McClain; sisters Sandra Winfree, Joy Jones, and Gloria Swaim; brothers Keith McClain and Michael McClain.  He was the proud grandfather of Tori Hedrick, Kathryn Jones, William Jones, Matthew Jones, Whitley Jones, Robert Brown, and Savannah Jones.  He was also survived by his four legged companion “Dottie”.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
