Mr. Richard Lee Maiden, 80, passed away Saturday December 23, 2017 at his residence.
A funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Maiden was born in Guilford county to the late John and Grace Maiden. He was owner of Triple “M” Electric Company, and was a member of Son Light Baptist Church of Randleman. He served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Maiden; sister Rachel Hollowell; sister Peggy Ann Maiden; son-in-law Charles Cohen
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Carolyn Maiden of Greensboro; daughter Julie Weidman (Jim) of Greensboro; son Tim Maiden (Julie) of Jamestown; sisters Rebecca Cox (Bill) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Linda Maiden of Liberty; grandchildren Erica Marshall (Colby), Carla Edwards (Cole), Krista Maiden, and Spencer Maiden; great-grandson Eli Marshall. Also surviving are four step-grandchildren, thirteen step-great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to express their love and heartfelt gratitude for the care given to Mr. Maiden during his time of illness.
