Mr. Tilton "Bill" William Stanley

Mr. Tilton “Bill” William Stanley, 93, passed away Monday June 29, 2015 at Beacon Place.

A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, with Rev, Bud Rowe officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00 pm at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Kim James.

Mr. Stanley was born in Moore county to the late John William and Catherine Ritter Stanley.  He was a United States Navy veteran, while serving in WWII, and was  a Navel CB’s with the 66 battalion. Bill was a 32 nd.  degree Mason, and was a member of the Shrinner’s. He was employed as a master plumber, while establishing  T.W. Stanley Plumbing and Heating Company, in 1946.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Wheatley Stanley; siblings Herman Lee Stanley, Alice Stanley Smith, Lily-Mae Stanley Nabors, Clarence Marvin Stanley, Johnny Calvin Stanley, and Lorena Stanley Murray.

He is survived by his children Tilton “Teal” William Stanley, Jr. of Greensboro, Kimberly Stanley James of Pleasant Garden, and Lataine Nichols Maness of Pleasant Garden; siblings Walter Everette Stanley, Helen Stanley Snouffer, Tiny Stanley Brandon, and Doris Stanley Moore.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
