Mrs. Grey Causey Collins

Mrs. Grey Causey Collins, age 85, went home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday September 18, 2016.

A funeral service will be 3:00pm Thursday at Burnett’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-3:00pm Thursday at the church.

Grey was born September 20, 1930 in Greensboro, NC to the late Henry C. and Nellie J. Causey. She was a lifelong member of Burnett’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  She kept nearly 50 children in her lifetime, and taught many more in Sunday School because of her great love and compassion for them.  For many years, she was employed with Blue Bell Corporation in Greensboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond C. Collins, sons Clyde E. Collins and Stephen C. Collins, and five siblings.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her daughters Linda C. Davis and Judy C. Brown; brother Paul S. Causey (Mary); grandchildren Dawn D. Searcy (Troy), Brian K. Davis (Susan), Scott A. Brown, and Amber N. Misenhiemer; great-grandchildren Haley D. Searcy, Jacob R. Cable, Eli L. Davis, and Kylie R. Misenhiemer.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
