Mrs. Linda Ann (Penley) Bell

Mrs. Linda Ann Penley Bell, 74, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday February 12, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday at Mt. Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery with Pastor Craig Peak officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Bell was born to the late Earl and Cora Burgess Penley.  She was a faithful member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church for the past 24 years.

Linda loved her family, her church, and her Lord and Savior.  She will be remembered for her compassion, her care for others, her selfless nature, and her strength.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children Timothy Bell and Julie Marlene Bell, and three brothers.

Linda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Bell of McLeansville; son Kenneth Bell, Jr.; daughter Laura Brown; two brothers.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many adopted grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Linda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mt. Hope Baptist Church Bus Ministry, 1117 Mt. Hope Church Rd. McLeansville, NC  27301.
