October 3, 1937 ~ October 22, 2016 (age 79) 79 Years OldMrs. Mary “Jeanette” Hunt, age 79, passed away Saturday October 22, 2016 at her residence.
A funeral service will 2:00 pm Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Jeanette was a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, and was born in Robeson County. She retired from Made-Rite Foods, and was a member of River Life Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Hunt, Sr.; mother Lorena Huggins; daughter Annette Locklear; son Tony Hunt; brother Michael Oxendine.
Jeanette is survived by her children Perry Hunt (Dovie), Pamela Witherspoon (Anthony), Brenda Chapman (Walter), Calvin Hunt, Jr., Ricky Hunt, Keith Hunt (Pat), Curtis Hunt, Ricky Hunt Jr. (Nikki), Brandon Hunt, and Amber Hunt; sisters Regina Locklear, Libby Keathley, and Connie Oxendine; brother Anthony Oxendine. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends 7:00pm-9:00pm Thursday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
