Mr. Paul C. Hall passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Wesley Long Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Brett Seawell officiating. Entombment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the church.

Paul was born April 14, 1937 in Rockingham County to the late Martin Luther and Nannie Kate Poe Hall. He served his country in the US Air Force and was retired from Jefferson Pilot Insurance Company with 39 years of service. He was the Past Master of Masonic Lodge #656 and was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church where he served on numerous committees, but was most proud of his role with Operation Christmas Child.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Tissue Hall and a granddaughter, Kenan Marie Blackwood.

Survivors include his wife, Debie Hall of the home; a daughter, Chanda Blackwood and husband Jeff of Greensboro; Step children, Damian Hitchins and wife Jasmine of Greensboro and Lindsay Vance and husband Chris of Climax; 2 grandsons, Nicholas Kenan Blackwood and Dean Paul Blackwood of Greensboro; a sister, Ruby Lemons and husband Cleo of Sandy Ridge; a niece Carolyn Summers and husband Charles of Summerfield; 2 nephews, Charles Smith and wife Sandra of McLeansville and Thomas Smith of Welcome; and 5 step grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church, General Fund, 1001 Greenhaven Drive, Greensboro, NC 27406 or to Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
