Paula Lynn (Henley) Atkins

Paula Lynn Henley Atkins, 65, of Gibsonville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2018 at Rock Creek Baptist Church in Whitsett with Rev. Charlie Agnew and Rev. Rocky Billings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Paula was born April 8, 1952 in Guilford County to the late Paul Woodrow Henley and Helen Huffman Henley Towe. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, Maw-Maw, and caregiver. She was also a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Jo Atkins; step father, Ralph Towe; granddaughter, Elizabeth Springs; and sister, Mary Greeson.

She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Johnny Atkins; children, Paul (Heather) Atkins of Gibsonville, Nicki (Rob) Elliott of Elon, and Christy (Pepper) Wade of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Mekala (Swanson) White, Kayla Skinner, Taylor Atkins, Tobi Elliott, Holly (Josh) Tickles, Madi Elliott, and Macy Atkins; great grandchildren, Waylon Tickles and Nova White; sisters, Kathy Stevens of Whitsett and Doris Diane of Morgantown, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the church.
