Ralph Lee Gray

Mr. Ralph Lee Gray, 89, of Greensboro, passed away July 19, 2016, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul McClure officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Gray was born September 17, 1926, in Guilford County, to the late Hugh and Hattie Tucker Gray. He was a longtime member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and was a charter member of the Sumner Civitans Club. Mr. Gray was an avid “Chevrolet Man” mechanic and was employed with Traders Chevrolet for more than 15 years before opening his own garage at home. He was also a huge Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching and pulling for them. Mr. Gray proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army.

Along with his parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Russell Gray; his brother, Lawrence Gray, and his sister, Virginia Robertson.

He is survived by his two sons, Jim Gray and Jeffrey Gray both of Greensboro and sister-in-law, Barbara Gray.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Thursday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
