Rebecca Jean Archambeau “Bug”, 32, of Greensboro, NC, passed away at her home on May 15th, 2017.

Rebecca was born in Duluth, Minnesota on November 22nd, 1984 to Donald and Gale Archambeau.  In February of 1998, the family moved to Greensboro, North Carolina.  She graduated from Ragsdale High School in Jamestown, NC in 2003.  She was able to spend the last 13 years with the love of her life, Davin Hughes.

Following high school, she attended GTCC for welding to be able to follow in her dad’s footsteps and join the Journeyman Boilermakers.  She began the Apprenticeship program in late 2003 and continued to work, travel, and make lifetime friends with the Boilermakers until 2012.  She joined Deere-Hitachi in 2012, as a welder, and remained there until her death.  In 2016, she began sharing her love for Tupperware alongside her mom as a Tupperware Consultant.

Rebecca enjoyed spending her weekends with friends camping and fishing.  She loved to spend hours on the couch with her mom working on crafts.  She had a passion for and loved animals of all kinds, especially her own dogs, Debo, Alexis, and Zeus; rabbit, Shorty-Lo, and turtle, Spikette.  Her smile, sense of humor, and laugh could light up any room.  She never met a stranger and was loved by many.

Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Davin Hughes of Greensboro, NC; parents, Donald and Gale Archambeau of Greensboro, NC; sisters, Melissa Archambeau of Baxley, GA and Jessica (Chris) Hayes of Greensboro, NC; nieces, Mckenzie Archambeau, Kira Hayes, and Austin Hayes; nephews, Bryce Henderson and Isaiah Archambeau; her best friend, Kaitlyn Scott; grandparents, and several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by a special childhood friend, Codie Routley, and grandfather, John Bolen, Sr.

A viewing will be take place at the Bridge of Hope Church at 4104 Short Farm Road on Monday, May 22nd from 11-12pm.  A brief Celebration of Life service will begin at noon.  A light reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family.  George Brothers Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
