Rodney Kornegay

Mr. Rodney Kornegay, 46, of Kernersville, went home to be with his Lord on August 9, 2016.

A funeral service will be held 10:00am Friday at New Testament Baptist Church. The graveside will follow at 3:00pm at Rock Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Independence, VA.

Rodney was born March 4, 1970, in New Hanover County. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kornegay; his brother, Jason Kornegay and his grandparents, Rev. CL and Margaret Walker.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Hudgins (Tom); daughters, Jessica Heath and Hannah Keith; four grandchildren, Odin, Lennox, Azalea, and Adelynn and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Rodney has finished his course here on earth and is in the presence of our Almighty God. His family would like to thank the staff at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for the care and concern that was given to Rodney by them. He will forever be remembered and missed by not just his family but by all that knew and loved him.
