Shirley Wehunt Hicks
September 4, 1935 ~ July 22, 2015 (age 79) 79 Years OldShirley Wehunt Hicks, of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at her residence with her family by her side.
A graveside service will be held 11:00am Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Shirley was born in Lincoln County on September 4, 1935, to the late Loy and Louzell Wehunt. She graduated from Kings College with a degree in business and was formerly employed with the Children’s Home Society and Industries of the Blind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hicks.
Surviving are her daughter, Angela Hicks (fiancé, Mark Sarnecki) of Greensboro; her sisters, Rita Black of Vale, NC and Dorothy Wehunt of Cherryville, NC and her brothers, Lanny Wehunt and Ronald Wehunt both of Vale, NC.
