Terry Lynn Brown, Sr.

Mr. Terry Lynn Brown, Sr., 49 passed away Tuesday evening, June 21, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Jimmy Grey officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Terry was lifelong mechanic working on small engines, cars, and building hot rod motors.  He enjoyed building stuff and working with his hands.  He pulled for the Carolina Panthers and loved to go fishing and camping.  His “grandbabies” filled his life with joy.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Willie Brown.

Terry is survived by his wife of twelve years, Susan Brown; children, Joni (Daniel), Roger, TJ, Jessy, Houston, Jake, Robert, Landon, Mallory, Michael, Cody, and Chris; grandchildren, Austin, Hannah-Grace, Alaynah, and Naeomi; mother, Rose Brown; sister, Betsy Grey (Jimmy); and a host of family and friends whom he loved.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at George Brothers Funeral Service; and other times at the home.

The family would like to extend a very special and heartfelt “Thank You” to Terry’s Hospice nurse Sonja King for all of her care that she gave him and also to all of those who were there to help him with his care and working on his home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to his wife to help with her household expenses.
