Virginia Katherine (Baldwin) Tucker

Virginia Katherine Baldwin Tucker, 86, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Clapps Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 19, 2016 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Barrett officiating.

Virginia was born April 15, 1930 in Guilford County to the late Ervin Edward and Ora Vance Baldwin. She retired from Burlington Industries with 45 years of service and was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Tucker Jr, a brother, C.J. Baldwin and a sister, Elaine Baldwin Ross.

Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Smith and husband Keith of Greensboro; 2 grandchildren, Emily Moser and husband Daniel of Whitsett and Daniel Smith and wife Brittany of Huntersville; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, PO Box 157, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.

George Brothers Funeral Service is assisting the Tucker family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like say “Thank You” to ALL of the staff at Clapps Nursing Center for the great care given to Virginia during her stay there. A special “Thank You” to Cyndee Martin, NP, Kaitlyn U, RN, Nikki, RN, Lillian, CNA, Dana, RN, Tiny and Susan in activities, the “Sherrys” and the other dietary staff. A very special “Thank You” to Kaitlyn (AKA “Brittany”) her CNA who provided her with exceptional care and lots of love.
