Wayne Gene Dillon, age 73 of Gibsonville, NC went home to be with Jesus July 24, 2016.

The funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 28, 2016 at George Brothers Funeral Service.  He will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park following the service.

He fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith till the end.

Wayne was a devoted and loving husband, father, Papa and friend. He loved serving the Lord and the church. He was always ready to help everyone and went about doing good to all who needed his help.

He was a longtime member of New Life Baptist Chapel under the direction of Pastor Tom Bowling and Pastor Ted Cook.

He was preceded in death by his Daddy, Arlington and Mama Lois Dillon.  Brothers: Roy, Jack and Jerry Dillon.  Sisters: Elimira, Irene, Doris and Eloise.

He leaves behind His precious and loving, devoted wife Jenny of 54 years. Five children who all but worshipped their Daddy, they loved him so much. Douglas Wayne Dillon of Kennesaw, GA, Teresa Dillon Higgins of the home, Jeffrey Arlington Dillon of Reidsville, NC and wife Missy, Cecil Leroy Dillon of Boonsboro, MD and wife Jennifer, Anthony Shane Dillon of Gibsonville, NC and wife Faye. Eleven Grandsons: Douglas Jr., Joshua, Zachary, BradLee, Patrick, Ryan, Justin and Shane Dillon. Andrew, Daniel and Dillon Gibson.  Four Granddaughters: Kaitlyn, McKayla, Christy, and Sarah Dillon.  Two great grandchildren: Wyatt and Lily Rose Dillon.

He leaves behind his lifelong friend, a devoted brother, Larry Dillon and wife Kathy

His Mother-in-law (Mother) Polly Bibey of Greensboro, NC.

Six very special friends: Ruby Wade, Suzie Lewis, Conny and Shelby Pennell, William and Barbara Hooker.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at George Brothers Funeral Service and other times at the residence of Tony and Faye Dillon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
