Wayne Wilson

Mr. Wayne Wilson passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, at his residence, one day before his 69th birthday.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00, prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Wayne was born February 13, 1948 in Forsyth County to the late Wilbert and Wylodyne Shelton Wilson. He served his country proudly in the US Navy. He was owner of SRO and was known by many for his love of music while he was DJ at Cowboy’s, Country Corral and Metal Rebel.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Belinda and Denise.

Survivors include the love of his life, Frances, of the home; his 2 sons, Todd Wilson (Tamera) and Chad Wilson (Christin); his daughter, Gina Souther (Brian), all of Lexington; his brother, Rodney Wilson (Cyndi) of Greensboro; and 5 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
