William "Bill" Hancock

Mr. William “Bill” Hancock, 57, passed away September 24, 2017,at his residence surrounded by his family.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Thursday at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Greg Creed officiating.

Bill was born November 27, 1959, in Guilford County. He worked for years in the construction industry but his family always came first. He will be missed by all those who loved and adored him. We will miss you Bill forever.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Hancock.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jean Burr Hancock; his father, Mahlon Hancock; children, Frank Worden (kate), Cristy Welch, Jessica Worden, William “Daniel” Hancock (Ashley), Mark Worden (Theresa) and Heath Hancock (Brooke); brother, Bobby Hancock (Lorrie); and his nine very special grandchildren, Jaydon Worden, Riana Welch, Katelyn Welch, Paityn Hancock, Frankie Worden, Elizabeth Worden, Mark Worden, Charlotte Worden and Benjamin Hancock.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro or to Concord Friends Meeting.
