William Herman O'Daniel, Jr.

Mr. William Herman O’Daniel, Jr., 85, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday morning, April 19, 2017 at Wesley Long Hospital.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service. A private graveside will follow at a later date in Guilford Memorial Park.

William was born January 4, 1932 in Guilford County to the late William Herman O’Daniel, Sr. and Avis Michael O’Daniel. He was a charter member of Trinity Church where he often taught Sunday School. He served his country in the National Guard, enjoyed wood working and was a wonderful artist.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Iris O’Daniel; 3 sons, Randy O’Daniel, Sandy O’Daniel (Nina) and Bruce O’Daniel (Jeannie); 1 grandson, Casey O’Daniel (Sarah); 1 great grandson, Conner O’Daniel; and 1 brother, Tracey Michael O’Daniel (Maxie).
