Amanda Lucille Poteat Vest, 30, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. Jimmy Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
She was born October 11, 1981 in Guilford County to Jerry W. Poteat and the late Gwendolyn Hunt Poteat.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Donald Vest; children, Chad Allen Sloan and Olivia Shai Souza; sisters, Angie Tyler and Cheryl Poteat, and a brother, David Styles.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

I am so sorry and I am having a hard time believing this. It seems like just the other day I saw her big smile and heard her beautiful laugh. She was so young and my heart aches for her family, her children in particular. Heaven just got another angel........my condolences.

I am so sorry to hear about this tragic loss Amanda you were an amazing person filled with joy and a great friend to all who had the pleasure to get to know you my heart and prayers go out to your children and family in this terrible time of grief may god hold your childrens hand and guide them threw this time until the day you all meet again

Amanda was truly a light on this earth and she left us way too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you deal with this difficult time. Why is a question we are often left with and sometimes there just isn't an answer. I am so sorry for your loss. Amanda will be missed and remembered forever.
