Mrs. Melody Faith Madren Murphy, 50, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Beacon Place.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Johnson Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Andrews and Rev. Greg Cassady officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy was born November 5, 1961 in Guilford County to Lennis Ernest and Patricia Brown Madren. She was of the Christian faith.
Melody was preceded in death by her father.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 29 years, Joseph Keith Murphy of the home; a daughter, Erinn Michelle Murphy Wilson and husband Andrew of Charlotte; and a brother, Terry Madren of McLeansville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405 or to Johnson Baptist Church, 5601 Turner Smith Rd., Brown-Summit, NC 27214.
George Brothers Funeral Service is assisting the Murphy family with funeral arrangements.

When God reached down His hand this morning and took Melody home, He touched the hearts of those that loved her and He wants you to know that she is safely in His arms forever. He leaves with each of you the strength of His love and the peace of understanding that you are never alone. Our Bible Study Group lead by Rev. Randy Roberts would like you to know that we have all been praying for Melody and the family and we all send our deepest sympathy in your loss.

Keith, Erinn, Andrew, Pat, Terry and Family: We offer our love and support to each of you during the loss of this precious lady. And, a lady she was. Even as a young child, teenager and young adult, Melody has always proven to be a woman of Christian values. She was so sweet and would always be ready with a beautiful smile whenever we saw her. Keith, we know there will be a big void in yours and Erinn and the rest of the family''s life; but, rest assurred that she is resting well now and all those who know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour will, along with you, see Melody again.
