The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, July 30, 2012 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sure Foundation Baptist Church, 215 NC Highway 62 W Randleman, NC 27317.
A special thank you is extended to Larry’s caregivers and doctors at Carolina Kidney and also at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, 2100 Unit.

My Dad was recently diagnosed with ANCA Vasculitis (an auto-immune disorder) causing kidney failure. The medications used to treat this caused an immune system suppression, making him susceptible to infection. He developed severe pneumonia, requiring mechanical ventilation & massive amounts of more medication further damaging the kidneys. He was emergently started on dialysis yesterday but there was so much systemic system failure by that time he had a heart attack. After watching the valiant efforts of the hospital staff & Doctors for more than 2 hours, my step-mom, my sister & I said our goodbyes & let him go Home peacefully. He told us his bags were packed & he was ready. We didn't always have a close relationship, but in recent years worked our way back. He was my Daddy & I loved him & he loved me - this I know. I was blessed to be able to be by his side for the last 24 hours of his life & I hope that made his last hours comforting. Miss you already, Love you forever!
