Jerry Wayne Kirkman, 79, of Pleasant Garden died Saturday, March 16, 2024 at

Randolph Hospice House.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Jerry retired from Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital after thirty years of employment. He loved to bowl and was a member of several leagues in the Greensboro area. At home, Jerry could often be found tinkering in his garage, riding his tractor, or working on his restored 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air. Family was very important to Jerry especially his beloved grandchildren that he adored.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Garner; and his brothers, Tommy Kirkman and Ray Smith.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary Kirkman of the home; daughters, Sandy Moon and husband Roy of Raleigh and Denise Smith of Pleasant Garden; grandchildren, Jonathan, Brandon, Dylan, Jacob and Gracie; and brothers and sisters, Janet Goodman, Robert Kirkman, Martha Martin, Jimmy Smith, and Jay Smith.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:50 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Randolph Hospice House for their angelic care of Jerry these past few weeks.
