Terry Anderson Shelton

Terry Anderson Shelton went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 15, 2024 surrounded by his family and jamming to his favorite Journey songs.

A memorial service will be held at George Brothers Funeral Home on Friday March 22, 2024.  The family will receive visitors from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, followed by a service led by Reverend Randall Smith.  There will be a time for friends and family to share brief stories about Terry.  We will conclude with a graveside inurnment service at Guilford Memorial Park.  All are welcome to attend.

Terry was born in Guilford County on December 5, 1963. Terry was a gifted athlete and a graduate of Southern Guilford High School where he played football, baseball, basketball, and many more. Terry loved to talk and spend time with his family and friends.  You could always find Terry watching the Carolina Panthers or a NASCAR Race, listening to his albums, working in the yard, taking a nap, or bragging about his sons.

Terry is preceded in death by his father Ernest, mother Thelma, brothers Donald, Gary and Dale; and sister Annette.

Terry is survived by his sons Holden and wife Jessica of Greensboro, and Collin of Columbia; sister, Janice Edwards, brother Eldon Blaine Shelton and wife Vickie, and sister Regina Whorton.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nick Pearse and the rest of the critical care team at Moses Cone for providing exceptional care and comfort to Terry and his family.
