Barbara Ann Huffman

Barbara Ann Huffman, 77, passed away on May 3rd, 2018 at Beacon Place, Greensboro NC surrounded by love with family by her side.

Barbara was born September 9, 1940 in Salisbury, NC. She was the daughter of the late Delma Mock, and Elsie Menius Huffman. Barbara was a member of the last graduating class of East Spencer High School, and attended Salisbury Business School. She worked for Carolina Tire Company at various locations, followed by Carolina Ribbon, later Corporate Express, in Greensboro NC until she retired. Her free time was dedicated to the true loves in her life, caring for her family, volunteering at Urban Ministry, and the election polls.

A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Delma Ray (Buddy), Sylvester Norris (Ves), and Charles Huffman.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Huffman Brewer ( Jerry ) of Greensboro, sister in law Bevis Norris of Salisbury, and several generations  of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday May 5th from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at George Brothers Funeral Home in Greensboro.  Services be held at Union Lutheran Church, Salisbury NC, Sunday, May 6th. Visitation will be held 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall; followed by the funeral service with Pastor Thomas W Corbell, and Pastor Thurmond C Plexico officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Family would like to express special appreciation to several long term care givers: Scheryl, Bridget, Wanja, Tikil, Sue, and Erica.
