Ms. Bertha “Louise” Edmondson Turner, 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 01, 2019 at her home with her children and family by her side.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor Jesse Canniff-Kuhn officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Davis Turner; a great-grandson, Colin Barron; one brother; and two sisters.
Louise was a life-long resident of Greensboro spending much of her youth at The Children’s Home of Winston-Salem and then graduating from Greensboro High School in 1952. She was owner and operator of Red Dot Curb Market and spent her later years making dolls and doing word searches. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the most important thing in her life.
Ms. Turner is survived by her children, Sharon Turner Watson of Greensboro, Roy Davis Turner, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Wilmington, and Rock Turner (Myra) of Greensboro. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Dallas Edmondson (Becky); and special friend and caregiver, Randy Parrish.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm Thursday at the home of Rock Turner, 5690 Old Randleman Rd. Greensboro, NC 27406.
