Billy Ronald Overman

Billy Ronald Overman, 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Badin Lake.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary.

Bill was born April 28, 1940 in Caldwell County.  He was retired from the McLeansville Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as Assistant Chief and on the Board of Directors.  Bill served as Past President of McLeansville Wildlife Club.   He worked for WFMY as director and producer, and also owned and operated The Jefferson House Restaurant. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Virginia Overman.

Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sylvia Gerringer Overman; sons, Matthew(Rhonda), and Mike (Krista); grandchildren, Branden (Lori), Andrew, and Lillie Overman; sisters and brothers, Carolyn, Diane, Patsy, Johnny, Judy, Randy, and Mark; and extended family and friends.
