Bobby "Ray" LaMarr

Mr. Bobby “Ray” LaMarr, 87, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday evening, May 6, 2018 at Ashton Place.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at McLeansville Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Barnette officiating.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. LaMarr was preceded in death by his son, Travis LaMarr.

“Ray” served his country in the U.S. Army, retired from Burlington Industries and was a farmer all of his life.  He enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Nance LaMarr; son, David Ray LaMarr (Terri); daughter, Pam Cochran (Mark); grandchildren, Lanesa, Mandi, Amber, Greg, Stacy, Jodie, Jason and Andy; great-grandchildren, Conner, Jaxton, Olivia, Savannah, Ashlyn, Cameron, Chloe, Kara, Brannon, Dustin, and Lily; brothers, Sanford LaMarr and Jack LaMarr (Ianthia); as well as a host of family and friends whom he loved.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service.
